This is my paladin sculpt in ZBrush printed out on a friend's printer! It's an amazing feeling to be able to hold a digital sculpt even if it's tiny!

International self portrait day

I missed the last 1 or 2 years and I really wanted to make it up this year. After several technical issues with my intuos 5 tablet, where not only the usb port died, but it doesn't hold up on batteries anymore, I managed to finish my self portrait with the old intuos 3 tablet. 

So I'm kinda set back in time now with only 1024 pressure sensors. This is really unsettling and even though I may be looking cheerful in this self portrait I feel the opposite way!

Effervescence Vernisage

"Effervescence" exhibition was a pleasant experience to exhibit traditional painting again; my last exhibition of this kind was in 2005.
I will post more about the effervescent works that were exhibited soon!

 I have been super busy preparing all the paintings for an exhibition for the past months and as a result
a bunch of fine art paintings are already displayed at the "Arta 2" gallery in Craiova! Come to the opening this Friday, 19:00 and see my works and my colleague's Rodica!

Ground Textures - Hand Painted

I can't believe it's already May!
I have been very busy moving out to a new home and all of my art supplies are packed and waiting to be put to use, now that I will have a bit more space! It's still going to take a few more weeks and I do not have any shelves or storage to put my canvases and colors; I am pretty much broke and having new shelves for my art supplies it's going to get some time!
I am also looking for some work so commissions are open!

Meanwhile I released my first texture mini pack on Unity! I hope it will bring me some snacks or a coffee! Yay

I'm so happy that spring is coming! March is one of my favorite months! Yet I am so sad by what is happening in this world. I wish that people will realize that money are not everything and we should use them to make this planet better or to evolve out in space...

Emotional Fabric painting & Updates

 It's been a while since updated my blog, but many things happened iRL that kept me either busy, either away from PC.
Some health problems kept in bed more then I wanted. Physical pain isn't a great way to start the year and I hope this problem it's now past. 
Also the exhibition I was planning to do for my UAP application it's now postponed. I felt I didn't had enough good paintings and I thought it's better to take more time to work on things and do it in the summer! 
Right now I have around 6 - 7 paintings, but I really wish to work on larger paintings as well and get to a total of 11 paintings.

Anyway my Gumroad is back, for sometime it was stolen and I had no idea. I was extremely sad when I noticed and extremely happy when Gumroad restored it.
I laugh at the thief that thought it would get rich out of me. Dude you'll get but dust and dried leaves! I hope the thief gets caught so these things won't happen to other artists that are working hard to get a coin or 2 as a tip from their works!

And finally an update! Here's my latest painting, It's a combination of techniques and something that I have been experimenting for the past year. As you may know I find the acrylic pouring technique to be quite fun and I've seen some amazing results out there. Yet When I did it it seemed that it lacked focus. My pouring paintings were not what I wanted and I decided to use it as an add to my figurative work and now I am quite happy with the result!
