Disguise - oil on canvas, 2005

"We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves."

The original is an oil color on canvas 40/50 cm; an older work (2005) that I finally managed to scan, also now available as a print on inprnt and on society6

Inktober 2019

So inktober passed and I managed doing the official themes each day. 31 sketches. A real success considering the lack of free time!
I am real happy with the sketches and some of these I will clean up into some prints! ^^

Sadly this year I missed the official self-portrait day. I'd still like to do it, though. Will see if I manage :) Wish me good luck!

Stuck

A new old work after a sketch I've done for last year's inktober.
I decided will not go for rendering this time!
I added a few things to try out this style approach and I am loving it!

Still working for a better compression as web and even windows10 photo viewer blurry my image. The old and trustful ACDSee views the image as supposed.

Sea Hair

Inspired by sea, also I wanted to go on a different path than I usually go with the color scheme so I went for this vibrant pink and even though is not a color I used much in the past, I think I kind of like it and I'll use it more!
I am painting with watercolor and also trying out the new gouache colors I got last month to test out. For now I am satisfied by how well watercolor teams up with gouache!

Going to add more progress as I work. If all goes well I am thinking to make this a print too. Cheers!

Also having some new works that I intend to add as prints, but I am not done editing them. Way to many projects going on.

I also had a small vacation which was the fresh breath of air that I needed. I managed to sketch some and I got a few new ideas that I want to get time for.
I'll be looking forward for more happy carefree days!

Bookmark "Burning Book"

First attempt of a bookmark. I enjoyed this a lot and I did it mostly to relax. I'll want to paint some more in the future.
No idea why but summer it's a great setup for watercolors :)

Sketches

Last month was chaos. I only managed to sketch and didn't got much time to post up anything! Have a bunch of pencil sketches laying around; here's a few that got lucky to get a pic! I will try to take some shots and add more!

Haunted Forest

This "Haunted Forest" illustration started with a sketch I drew some time ago when this character came into life. I had no plan at all to bring it to a final art piece, but I worked at it on and off, drew some elements and then I decided to put it together into the image you see now.

The Elf is a character from a fantasy book I am writing and hopefully I will be able to post more sketches on future.
I had to review some things so I am about 70% done with the writing.
